ABOUT US
All children deserve to receive a safe, nurturing, developmentally-appropriate, high quality early childhood education.
Our Values
Nurturing
We believe in nurturing our students and our employees. That’s why we offer emotional support in our classrooms, and full benefits to our employees.
Inclusivity
Every child deserves a place to learn and grow. We never discriminate based on religion, color, race, sex, age, national origin or disability, and offer fully inclusive classrooms and curricula.
Collaboration
Parents are the child's first teacher. Our program is a collaboration between our team and your family. The program may not have a monetary cost, though we know our parents and teachers alike will put in time and effort to make sure our kids learn and grow.
Creativity
Creativity is an integral part of child development, and thus an integral part of our curriculum. We teach our children by encouraging creative expression, and we encourage our teachers to get creative in how they meet PA’s early learning standards in their own classrooms.
Our Story
Creative Learning Environments started in 2011 with three students and one goal: to provide quality early childhood education to families who need it at no cost to them.
Today we have 2 locations and about 200 students who pass through our program every year
Creative Learning Environments exist to serve our students, families, and communities. Of course, our classrooms and teachers teach and nurture our students so they are fully prepared for kindergarten. Beyond that, we believe that our work is educating the whole family.
Like our students and their families, our teachers need to be nurtured too.
Our teachers are able to seek continuing education at no cost to them, they are regarded as experts and trusted to know what’s best for their classrooms. We give them the autonomy to be creative and cater to the needs of their specific students, and that’s why we have such little staff turnover.
All of these opportunities are offered at no cost to our families.
Our programs are offered at no cost because they are funded by the local, state, and federal government. We have partnered with several quality initiatives such as the Success by Six Program (conducted by United Way) and Keystone STARS, Pennsylvania’s Quality Rating Improvement System), the School District of Philadelphia, Head Start, PA’s PreK Counts Program, Phila Pre-K, and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program.
